PSI, its affiliate the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), and its sister global union Education International (EI) have joined forces to campaign for the release of Fatima Al-Rimawi, who was arrested by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in her home in January 2024 after posting critical comments on Facebook regarding Israel's retaliatory attacks in Gaza.
