PSI intervention at INC-2
Speaking of Treaty options 10-12 on behalf of the Workers and Trade Unions Major Group at the 2nd Session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution (INC-2), PSI asked for the inclusion of Just Transition measures as per the ILO definition for ALL workers along the plastic supply chain regardless of employment status.

The Trade Unions and Workers delegation at the Second Session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution are demanding a Just Transition, Decent Work for ALL waste workers regardless of employment status, with PUBLIC investment in safe, professional and effective infrastructure in national and local waste management systems with adequate staffing levels , decent working conditions, professional training, PPE and union rights.
