Use this model letter to write to your pension funds to demand divestment from companies bankrolling Myanmar's military junta.
The ILO has invoked Article 33 sanctions - their highest level - calling on unions to ensure investments don't enable Myanmar's brutal regime. Our members' pension money could be funding weapons used against workers and civilians.
Action required: Send the attached letter to your pension fund trustees demanding they check for exposure to companies listed and divest immediately if found.
Target companies: POSCO, KDDI, Sumitomo, PTT/PTTEP, GAIL, ONGC, BEL, Sinotruk, AviChina - all publicly traded companies providing funds, arms, and technology to Myanmar's junta.
Our solidarity with Myanmar workers demands action. Workers' pensions should build futures, not bankroll oppression.
