The danger is not over

This campaign is the result of the partnership of Public Services International (PSI) with DGB Bildungswerk to fight for the extension of the intellectual property rights on vaccines for COVID-19.

While some Latin American countries have high vaccination rates an managed to immunize most of their population, others expose the still existing huge social gap and the need for mobilization by society as from its grassroots, political and union organizations. Unfortunately, such is not the reality only in the American continent; in some African countries not even health professionals have been vaccinated yet.

To change this alarming situation, the Public Services International (PSI) supports the campaign for COVID-19 vaccine patent breaking and calls out governments and organizations to strive to obtain VACCINES FOR ALL.

Only then will we be able to fight against regional inequalities and promote protection for everyone. Research and statistical studies show that in every country the people most affected by the pandemic belong to the most vulnerable strata of the population: Black, Indigenous, LGBTQI+, poor people and those who do not count on the support of the state.

Breaking the COVID-19 vaccine patent means saving thousands of lives.
