Strengthening public services unions for quality public services, decent work and social dialogue in Chad

This project is the result of inclusive social dialogue between the various trade unions and social actors in the public sectors of Chad. The project was set up with the following main objectives:

  • To increase the internal management skills, transparency and financial viability of public sector trade unions;

  • To increase their capacity to recruit and represent women and young workers;

  • To improve the training of members, with an emphasis on leadership by young workers and women;

  • Strengthen trade union unity in action through coordination and lobbying on TUR, HR and social dialogue.

This project targets young workers, women workers who are members of FSPT and union leaders of the seven member unions of FSPT, namely: SYNAPGREF; SYNAME, SYNADER, SYNTASST, SYNACOT, SAAGET and SYNAFT.
