ILO Convention on Gender-based Violence in the Workplace
The objective of this project is to secure support for a broad, comprehensive ILO Convention 190 which includes increased labour rights for domestic violence survivors, to increase PSI affiliates knowledge and advocacy capacity in relation to the proposed ILO Convention and Recommendation and to increase public and workers’ support for regulatory and fiscal reform that supports domestic violence survivors and domestic violence workers.
PSI is committed to ensuring the proposed Convention and Recommendation offer the most comprehensive protection possible to workers and the community.
By 2019 the project produced a campaign toolkit and resources for affiliates, supported affiliates to conduct capacity building, public awareness and advocacy activities and developed a mapping tool that allows affiliates to identify their countries existing compliance with the instruments so that they can advocate for relevant national changes in law and policy.
