Unions Set to Launch Major Organizing Strategy at AFRECON

Over 300 trade union leaders are expected to attend the PSI's 14th Regional Conference for Africa and the Arab Countries, which will take place from 11 to 14 November.

PSI's 14th Regional Conference for Africa and the Arab Countries (AFRECON) - taking place next week in Accra, Ghana - will mark the official launch of the Regional Organizing and Growth Strategy, a comprehensive plan to organise new public sector unions and and drive up membership density throughout the region.

This initiative aims to formalize efforts that are already delivering strong results across the region in countries such as Kenya, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Senegal, Nigeria, and Zambia - providing an opportunity for union leaders from some of these countries to share first-hand experiences, key lessons, and successes from their organizing campaigns.

Over 300 trade union leaders are expected to attend AFRECON, which will run from 11–14 November. Click here to learn more about the conference, and here and here to watch our video invites.
