Survey on privatisation and the human rights to safe drinking water and sanitation

The UN Special Rapporteur’s thematic report to the General Assembly to be presented in October 2020 will focus on privatisation and the human rights to safe drinking water and sanitation. We encourage trade unions and allies to contribute to this report by filling in the following questionnaire no later than 31 January 2020.

The UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights to safe drinking water and sanitation is preparing the report to the UN General Assembly for 2020. The theme is the impact of privatisation on these human rights.

Trade unions and allies should contribute to the content of this report. The special rapporteur is conducting a survey in the form of a questionnaire, and the answers need to be submitted by 31 January 2020.

Please try to contribute as best you can, even if you are unable to answer all questions. Any serious answer is valid.

All responses will be posted on the official webpage of the Special Rapporteur on the human rights to safe drinking water and sanitation, unless it is indicated that the submission and/or the supporting documentation should be kept confidential.
