Public Services International (PSI) Inter-American Committee of LGBTIQA+ Workers, which includes the subregions of Brazil, Southern Cone, Central America, Andean Region, and the Caribbean, takes great pride in recognizing and celebrating the crucial role our union representative for the Caribbean Subregional Committee, Linda Bogle Mienzer, has played in the ongoing fight against all forms of discrimination and violence, including homolesbobitransphobia.

Linda Bogle Mienzer has dedicated over 20 years to defending the rights of workers, with a special focus on the LGBTIQA+ community. Her unwavering commitment and valuable work as a labor relations organizer at the Bermuda Public Services Union (BPSU) have been exemplary and deserving of recognition. In this regard, we are extremely proud to learn that Linda Bogle Mienzer has been honored with the "Trailblazer Award" for LGBTIQ+ Rights at Bermuda Pride 2024, a well-deserved acknowledgment of her hard work and dedication.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Linda for her tireless effort and leadership, and we offer our sincere commendations for this well-earned recognition. Her work not only inspires but also strengthens our commitment to equality and social justice for all.

From the Inter-American Committee of LGBTIQA+ Workers of the ISP, we want to express our firm condemnation of any acts of discrimination and violence that seek to undermine the rights of LGBTIQA+ individuals. The defense of human rights must be a banner proudly carried by the global labor movement. In this sense, we remain committed to continuing the fight for an inclusive and respectful environment.
