Solidarity with Greek workers on strike 12 November

Greek workers in the public and private sector organised a general strike on 12 November 2015 to protest against the reforms imposed on Greek workers by the European institutions in July this year.

These reforms include worsening of the pension and social security system, attacks on the right to strike and on protection against dismissals. Also privatisation of energy and water companies is back on the agenda.

The EPSU Executive Committee 3-4 November expressed it solidarity with the Greek workers and the unions.  EPSU sent a message of solidarity to the Greek colleagues, and several affiliates also sent messages of support.
