ANNOUNCEMENT!!

This is to inform all of our members and partners that after the long battle and tireless resistance to have the ILO recommendations on the case #3202 – Liberia implemented, the Government of Liberia has finally started payment of the retroactive pay for comrades Joseph S. Tamba and George Poe Williams, president and Secretary General respectively of NAHWUL, based upon the Memorandum of Understanding of September 2019 at the end the union "Go Slow" action.

NAHWUL extends heartfelt appreciation to you for your resilient solidarity which led to their reinstatement and now first installment payment of the lost wages during the period of their illegal dismissal.

While we acknowledge the minimum effort of the government in reinstating our two colleagues, we kindly seek your continuous support in pushing the Government of Liberia (GOL) for the most important agenda of our struggle - the certification of NAHWUL as a Trade Union institution per the ILO recommendation, and the September 2019 MOU as was agreed between the Government and NAHWUL, which very sadly, Labor Minister Moses K. KOLLIE refused to honor.
