It is with great sorrow and grief, that PSI and its affiliates in Africa & Arab Countries learned about the tragedy of the Moroccan people after the earthquake that hit Marrakech and its provinces that caused the death of thousands of victims.

Our heartfelt condolences to PSI affiliate in the Kingdom of Morocco, the “Union Maroccaine de Travail - UMT” and to those who have lost their loved ones because of the tragedy.

We would like to express our sincere respect and support for the many Public Services Workers who are providing emergency support and rescue efforts on the ground, and hope for the swift recovery of all those who have been injured.

PSI and its affiliates in the Africa & Arab region stand in solidarity with the Kingdom of Morocco during these challenging circumstances and is ready to offer any possible assistance. May the victims rest in peace!
