A 3-day sub-regional capacity building workshop was organised from 13-15 October with the PSI affiliate unions organising community health workers (CHWs). CHWs from India, Nepal and Pakistan came together to advance the campaign Community Health Work is Work. 

Under the campaign, PSI CHW unions across South Asia came together renewing the demand to recognise CHWs as public health workers and to build a people-centred healthcare system. Only by doing so will governments be able to lead an effective pandemic response and recovery.
