The Conference aims to highlight the suffering of women in the public service sector and the gender-based violence they endure in order to pressure the government to ratify Violence and Harassment Convention No. 190 at the work place. It also aims to make recommendations in order to improve the conditions of women workers and include them in trade union bodies, as well as reach a local agreement that involves trade unions and civil society organizations, to encourage them to work towards providing women with a safe work environment.
