During the meeting PSI General Secretary, Rosa Pavanelli, highlighted the important role unions played in the fight against privatization of public services, the defence of labour and trade union rights, putting in place a financial transactions tax and the strengthening of trade unions.

The meeting also discussed:

• Collective bargaining: application of ILO Conventions 151 and 154
• Social dialogue
• The international campaign against corruption in public services
• The importance of promoting trade union networks (for example, the creation of the taxation network)

The SUBRAC also adopted the following resolutions:
