The LRG Local and Regional Government (LRG) Global Workers’ Network is PSI’s sectoral cross-regional policy forum for all PSI affiliates representing LRG/Municipal workers.

The next PSI Global Workers’ Network #2/2023 will be held on Thursday 12 October 2023 14:00-17:30 CEST.

The meeting will be held just prior to PSI's World Congress at the Palexpo Convention Centre in Geneva and will allow for both online and in person participation.

LANGUAGES

• CONFIRMED LANGUAGES: Interpretation for this event is available in English, French, Spanish, Swedish, Japanese, Korean and passive Portuguese. 

• LANGUAGES PENDING CONFIRMATION: Interpretation in German, Arabic, Portuguese and Tamil will depend on prospective participation and therefore on registrations. We kindly ask you to please let us know as soon as possible if you are planning to attend either in person or online by filling out the registration form here below by 30 September at the latest.

COSTS FOR TRAVEL AND ACCOMODATION

• NON-SPONSORED: if you are travelling to Geneva to participate in PSI 31st World Congress and are not sponsored by PSI, if you wish to take part in the LRG Global Network please make sure your unions covers travel, accommodation and other costs related to your participation, and consider making travel arrangements to be in Geneva as of 12 October so you can join the LRG Global Network in-person. We invite you to make your hotel reservation as soon as possible. Hotel booking information can be found on the PSI Congress website.

• SPONSORED: if you are travelling to Geneva to participate in PSI 31st World Congress and are sponsored by PSI, if you wish to take part in the LRG Global Network, please make sure your union covers the additional costs to attend this pre-event or apply for additional support writing to your PSI Subregional Secretary cc Daria Cibrario PSI LRG Officer (daria.cibrario@world-psi.org). We will consider whether to grant extra support based on budgetary. logistical and other constraints. Please make travel arrangements only AFTER you have secured the resources from your union or from PSI for your in-person participation to be in Geneva as of 12 October to attend the LRG Global Network in-person. Please note that PSI is unable to cover in-person participation for LRG affiliate representatives who are not also attending Congress. Instead, you can join the LRG Global Network online registering here below.

PARTICIPATION & REGISTRATION

Participation is open and strongly encouraged for all representatives of PSI affiliates in LRG services, be it online or in-person for LRG union representatives attending the 31st PSI World Congress.
