PSI's Regional Executive Committee meeting for Africa & Arab Countries (AFREC) will take place virtually in two sessions on 18th and 19th August 2021, 12:00 to 14h00 CET (check your location/country time). Interpretation will be provided during the meeting in English, French and Arabic. This Virtual AFREC meeting will be preceded by an online WOC meeting on 17th August 2021.

The Africa and Arab Countries regional Executive Committee (AFREC) is one of the Regional governing bodies of the PSI. Every regional governing body directs the affairs of the respective region between Congress and meet at least once a year.

The Regional Executive Committee (REC) bear among others, the responsibility for: planning, monitoring and following-up to PSI global and regional action plans; preparing the regional activities budget for the following year for submission to the Executive Board; making recommendations on affiliation and membership matters to the Executive Board…

The REC is made up of two titular representatives from each of the regional sub-regions (EB and WOC), one extra titular, two titular members representing young workers of the whole region (all elected by the AFRECON) ; the President, the General Secretary of PSI and the Regional Secretary for Africa and Arab Countries shall be ex officio members.
