The Executive Board of Public Services International, meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, from 30 May to 1 June 2012,

CONDEMNS the decision of the Mswati regime in Swaziland for refusing to recognise the Trade Union Congress of Swaziland (TUCOSWA), the legitimate representative of Swazi working people.

In recognising a new and mysterious organisation by the name of Swaziland Economic Empowerment Workers’ Union and preventing the legitimate leaders of TUCOSWA from attending the currently ongoing ILO Conference in Geneva, the regime has finally lost all credibility.

We DEMAND that the Mswati regime recognise TUCOSWA.

We further DEMAND that the ILO refuse to accept representatives from any “yellow union” organised by the Swazi government.
