Elected Leadership
Every five years, affiliates at the PSI Congress elect the President, General Secretary and the Executive Board, which runs the organisation and ensures the implementation of decisions taken.
PSI has four regions: Africa & Arab Countries, Asia & the Pacific, Europe and Inter-America. After Congress, each region convenes a Regional Conference and elects their Regional Executive Committees. These Executive Committees elect two Co-Chairs, who also serve as PSI Vice-Presidents. In Europe, the European Federation of Public Service Union (EPSU) serves as PSI's regional body and the EPSU GS and President sit on the PSI Executive Board.
Each Regional Executive Committee appoints the World Women's Committee (WOC) members from its region. The WOC Chair sits on the Executive Board.
