Unions in Sri Lanka have secured a landmark win with the ratification of ILO Convention 190 (C190) on eliminating violence and harassment in the world of work. After years of organising, petitions, trainings, and policy advocacy, the labour movement has pushed C190 from promise to reality. Now they are turning to the next fight, i.e. implementation.
Lors de la 78ème session du Comité régional de l'OMS pour l'Asie du Sud-Est à Colombo, Samudra Gunawardana, membre du Comité exécutif de l'ISP pour l'Asie-Pacifique, a fait une déclaration commune au nom de l'ISP et de l'Institut international de santé mondiale de l'Université des Nations Unies (UNU-IIGH), exhortant les gouvernements à renforcer les systèmes de soins de santé primaires (SSP) en garantissant un travail décent et des conditions équitables pour les travailleurs.euses de la santé de première ligne.
