James Cavalluzzo is PSI's LGBT+ Rights Campaign Project Coordinator. He coordinates activities in the framework of PSI’s LGBT+ strategy and ensures LGBT+ issues are represented in key PSI policy areas.

James is a long-term activist, leader and staff at the British Columbia Government Employees Union – BCGEU, one of the provincial unions of PSI’s Canadian affiliate NUPGE. He was chair of their community-based social services component for over 13 years, following which he worked as campaigns and most recently as education officer. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience across the range of union activities and responsibilities.

 James is active in many community groups and has successfully linked union and community organising to build political power for advancing a progressive agenda, including with the LGBT+ movement, trade unions and human rights defenders.
