PSI affiliates in Uganda held a dialogue on 18 June 2024, to discuss the domestication and implementation of C190 following its ratification, focusing on eliminating workplace violence and harassment, particularly gender-based violence. Representatives from various ministries and unions highlighted challenges, including the need for updated policies and fair salary practices, while emphasising the importance of strong unions for effective collective bargaining.

Kenya's Public Sector Unions stand in Solidarity with striking health workers
Unions are raising concerns over the increasing violation and harassment of employees at worker places. Investment and Privatization State Minister Evelyn Anite says employers have the obligation to support workers safety by assessing the risk of gender-based violence and harassment both in their industry and in their specific workplace.
